Refuge for Women SoCal City Director, Karina Rosa
Karina Rosa is the City Director for Refuge for Women representing the Southern California area. As the daughter of a pastor, a pastor's wife, and the mother of a pastor, you can say that serving in the ministry has been and continues to be an important part of her life. She has worked and led numerous Women's groups in local churches and communities within Southern California assisting women who have been victims of domestic and sexual abuse for over 25 years. Since a very young age, she has witnessed numerous cases of abuse and some even within her own family. Karina knew that she wanted to make a difference in the lives of women. She wanted to help educate and empower them. She
wanted to teach them how to have their own voice. She wanted to help them heal. Last year, Karina felt compelled to specifically work with victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Karina and her husband Jose Carlos have been married for 28 years and reside in Huntington Beach, CA. They enjoy serving others alongside their son, Isaac, who is an assistant pastor at Refuge Calvary Chapel. They dedicate their life’s work to the memory of their younger son Apolo, who went to be with the Lord after a tragic car accident in August 2016. They know that he is looking over them and cheering them on as they realize their dream to help victims regain their lives and dream again.
